giyawarra-nanha gulbalanha / disturbing the peace

A film featuring curator Andrea Briggs introducing giyawarra-nanha gulbalanha / disturbing the peace, an exhibition at Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA).

Bringing together works from the National Gallery of Australia and MAMA's collection, the exhibition explored First Nations artistic practice, resistance and the ongoing impact of colonisation. Through the work of sixteen artists, it challenged colonial narratives and gave space to stories that have often been silenced.
