Dream Variations

A short exhibition film for Murray Art Museum Albury, introducing *Dream Variations*, curated by Kelly Dezart-Smith.

Inspired by Langston Hughes's 1926 poem of the same name, the exhibition explores bla(c)k creativity, freedom and self-determination through works from MAMA's collection and contemporary artistic practice.

I worked on the art direction, filming and editing, bringing together conversations with the curator and artists, exhibition footage and details of the artworks.

Artwork featured: Green Pastures (2023), directed and edited by Olivia Oluwayemi Suleimon, featuring the story and artistic practice of Naomi Impa Musemu.

Collection artists included in the exhibition: Allan Chawner, Brook Andrew, Cherine Fahd, Destiny Deacon, Russell Drysdale, Tracey Moffatt, Tommy McRae and Viva Jillian Gibb. The exhibition also presents artwork by Phil Murray.
